Pantone has announced “Mocha Mousse” as the Colour of the Year for 2025, a warm, light brown shade that promotes harmony, peace, and balance. This versatile colour has been prominently featured in various designers’ spring/summer 2025 collections, including Fendi, Acne, and Gucci, solidifying its importance in the fashion industry.

Today, I would like to view it in the reversing way, that is, if you are wearing your outfit in the colour of Pantone 2025, what are best colours of the accessories to go with it? Ur, talking about accessories, please allow me to focus on the (silk) scarves again. After all that’s what we are good at. But hopefully you can also get inspired by these scarves and choose you bags, shoes, necklaces and hats etc in the similar logic.

  • Black and White

While classic neutrals like black, white, and navy have long dominated wardrobes, Mocha Mousse is redefining the way we see brown in fashion. This warm, inviting shade offers a softer, more sophisticated alternative to stark neutrals, blending seamlessly with beige, taupe, and ivory for an effortlessly chic aesthetic. Its growing popularity reflects a shift toward earthier, more grounding hues—turning brown from a background player into a statement of refined elegance. As Leatrice Eiseman (https://www.instagram.com/leatriceeiseman/?hl=en), executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute, notes, brown is no longer just a humble neutral; it’s becoming a symbol of understated luxury and warmth.

I find this inspiring look by applying layers of the same colour range close to Mocha Mouse. A classic remains timeless, and neutral shades like brown effortlessly complement mocha tones. With the model’s blond hair colour and golden accessions, and a hint of bright yellow on the hand band, it creates a harmony but yet bold colour combination.

With this clue, I have fond you the following samples of silk scarf with can go really well with your Mocha Mosse outfit.

Matching Colours to Pantone 2025

Apart the neutral colours, these are also a group of colours which can be used to match Mocha Mousse, the Pantone colour of 2025. These are the ones recommended by the official website of Pantone and I found it very helpful while making colour combinations.

This pairing is exactly the type of “aspirational” combo that Eisman referenced. Wine-red is a colour associated with luxury and wealth, helping boost the brown shade further. I also find this scarf in out collection to show the same concept.

Have a look at this bold combination of colours. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons presents the cool girl mocha mousse formula for spring/summer 2025. And that’s all about a pop of colour.

Ahh, hold on. I’ve found you this scarf to match this too. This lilac-hued silk scarf features a delicate floral pattern set against an olive green backdrop, framed by a deep forest green border. The interplay of soft lilac, muted pink flowers, and leafy green gives it a romantic yet structured look, making it an elegant complement to mocha mousse clothing.

To create a harmonious outfit, pair this scarf with a mocha mousse trench coat, wide-leg trousers, or a knit dress to let the soft neutral tones balance the pastel lilac accents. The lilac and mocha combination exudes effortless sophistication—enhance the look with taupe accessories, nude pumps, or gold jewellery for a refined, feminine aesthetic. You can also tie the scarf loosely around your neck, wear it as a headband, or attach it to a mocha mousse handbag for a subtle yet elegant pop of colour.
